Machold Rare Violins is enjoying the new permanent home in Chicago located in the historic Fine Arts Building.  The Fine Arts Building is unique in it's choice of family which includes exclusively the people that make their world that of the fine arts, meaning musicians, painters, dancers, and those spiritually connected to the continued growth of live performance in every aspect.

A new addition to the Fine Arts Building is it's 'state of the art' Recording Studio located on the 9th floor with a glorious view of Chicago's biggest asset, the lakefront.  Machold Rare Violins will be broadcasting from this Studio live on Wednesdays.  This will feature a series of instruments from the Machold Collection performed by various musicians.  This Wednesday we are delighted to have concert violinist David Yonan.  Originally from Berlin, Mr. Yonan now enjoys a busy musical career with his home base in Chicago.  David Yonan will be playing solo Bach on 3 violins including an Amati,  a Testore and the French maker H.C. Silvestre.  Please tune in at the web address of: www.artsentertainment.com and check it out!   We will be discussing the differences between the violin makers, how they feel and sound to a performer and what kind of instrument is necessary to pursue a concert career.
